Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region

Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region located in Cherry Hill, is a social service program for children in Burlington County,  who have shown a need for positive development through the help of qualified, interested adults to improve relationships and performance at home, school, and in the community. BB/BS needs volunteers, including seniors, to serve as adult role models, friends, and mentors. Volunteers are also needed in the office, to assist with educational activities, and/or special events.

Acenda Integrated Health is looking for college-age and adult volunteers to become mentors

Acenda Integrated Health is looking for college-age and adult volunteers to become mentors for Camden, Gloucester County foster care youth, ages 14-21, at-risk of dropping out of school. All the youth have experienced some form of abuse or neglect, lack reliable transportation, and supportive family relationships. They are in need of a positive role model and support. Learn how to become an Advocate for abused and neglected children in Burlington County. Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Mercer and Burlington Counties is currently recruiting volunteers for Summer and Fall training sessions to advocate for the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. CASA and its volunteers speak for children in court, serve as fact finders for the family court judges and safeguard the interests of the children while they are in the foster care system.

Connect to Mentoring provides young adults in foster care with a mentor to provide a listening ear, helpful words and an open heart. Our mentors assist our mentees with finding hope inside themselves and by being a constant force in their ever changing lives.

Komaza ,  501c 3  organization, located in Burlington County, needs 4 male and 4 females for a summer camp program.Volunteers will need to be energetic, need little physical accommodations and able to pass criminal background check.

New Jersey Orators, Inc.

New Jersey Orators, Inc. (www.oratorsinc.orgis a 35-year old non-profit youth organization serving annually over 250 youth in eight counties throughout New Jersey, including chapters in Burlington County. Its mission is to teach the art of public speaking, an appreciation for literature, reading and media arts literacy, civic engagement, college readiness, and life skills to youth from 7 to 18 years of age in preparation for college.
