Voorhees Pediatric Facility

Voorhees Pediatric Facility seeks volunteers 14 years and older to interact hands on with children in the Medical Daycare Center or Therapeutic Recreation Department playing games, reading stories and socializing with residents.  We also seek assistance providing clerical support.  Volunteer opportunities are available 7 days a week; volunteers must be able to commit a minimum of  2 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months!

Githens Center Burlington County Cerebral Palsy Association

Githens Center (Burlington County Cerebral Palsy Association) in Mount Holly seeks volunteers (14+) to provide recreation, entertainment, companionship and client care, for children and adults with physical and other types of disabilities.  Volunteers are also needed for fund raising, special and seasonal events, computers, and office support. Center hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and two Saturdays a month between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.

State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP)

State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is currently looking for 55+ aged volunteers interested in joining the program and willing to council via the telephone. SHIP provides free, objective, confidential  help to people with Medicare who have problems with, or questions about Medicare, Medigap, Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Part D Drug Plans and Long Term Care Insurance.  SHIP is a statewide program sponsored by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and sponsored by New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services.

Acacia Hospice

Acacia Hospice is looking for caring volunteers to provide companionship to our patients and respite for their loved ones. Also, looking for veterans who would like to visit with fellow veterans to offer support and honor their service. Acacia Hospice is available to all persons residing in the Burlington County area. Opportunities for volunteers include patient visits, office support, Bereavement support, and community education. We offer complete training.
