Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children of Mercer and Burlington Counties is currently recruiting volunteers for Summer and Fall training sessions to advocate for the best interests of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. CASA and its volunteers speak for children in court, serve as fact finders for the family court judges and safeguard the interests of the children while they are in the foster care system.

Our programs help people and their caregivers manage their symptoms, improve their quality of life, and reduce healthcare costs. Mutual support and success builds participants’ confidence in their ability to manage their health and maintain active and fulfilling lives.

Emmanuel Cancer Foundation (ECF

Emmanuel Cancer Foundation (ECF), is a not-for-profit organization, whose mission is to provide a variety of specialized services, at no charge, to any New Jersey family facing the challenges of caring for a child with cancer. The distinctive feature of ECF’s program is the tailored package of support provided to the family. The Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, privately funded by the contributions of individuals, corporations, foundations and community groups.

Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter

Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter provides supportive programs and services to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, while also serving as a leader with regard to advocacy and accelerating research.  Volunteers are needed for a wide range of roles, including but not limited to: community outreach, community education, support group facilitation, office support, walk to end Alzheimer’s, special events and advocacy.   For more information about volunteer opportunities visit:  

Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital

Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital seeks volunteers 16 years or older to interact hands on with children in the Medical Daycare Center or Therapeutic Recreation Department playing games, reading stories provide TLC and socializing with patients.  Volunteers commit to a minimum of 2 hours a week, for a minimum of 3 months.  We also seek assistance with clerical support.  Volunteer opportunities are available 7 days a week; volunteers must be able to commit a minimum of  2 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months!
