SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER INTERN – Volunteer Needed

The Vegetarian Society of South Jersey (VSSJ), an all-volunteer, nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is Educational, Supportive and Social, is seeking a Volunteer Social Media Manager Intern to update and maintain social media content on various platforms. Experience with Instagram and graphics/web design is a plus. The Social Media Manager will report directly to the VP of Operations and Volunteer Coordinator.

Rancocas Nature Center

Rancocas Nature Center, 794 Rancocas Road (Exit 45A off Rt. 295) Westampton, NJ  needs volunteers for help with various activities at the Center. Some of these include gardening, working in our little store & answering the phone, maintaining website and Facebook pages, email and regular announcements, as well as speakers with expertise on various nature related topics. Volunteers are also needed to conduct or assist with important research projects.

Pompeston Creek Watershed Association (PCWA)

Pompeston Creek Watershed Association (PCWA) founded in 1963 to promote the restoration and conservation of the Pompeston Creek Watershed (Cinnaminson, Delran, Moorestown & Riverton). Volunteers are needed for education programs, stream clean ups, administrative work, scientific water quality monitoring, & restoration projects. Bass River State Forest

Bass River State Forest - New Jersey's FIRST State Forest, established in 1905.  The State Park Service has formal Volunteers in Parks and hosts several volunteer events throughout the year, such as "Earth Day", "National Trails Day", "National Public Lands Day" and sometimes "Make a Difference Day".  Recent projects include cleaning dumped trash out of the woods, developing a surfaced trail, removing tree seedlings from the septic field and replanting them, removing invasive species, trimming trails, marking trails w/our flexible trail markers, cleaning up trash from the e

Delaware Riverkeeper Network

The Delaware Riverkeeper Network, an environmental watchdog group responsible for the entire Delaware River watershed, seeks responsible volunteers (16+). River Hands - These volunteers work on special projects like stream bank restoration and river cleanups. Special projects take place at different times and locations throughout the year and the watershed. No special training is required. All you have to do is show up willing to help. River Hands are notified of special project volunteer opportunities through the newsletter.

Pinelands Institute for Natural & Environmental Studies (P.I.N.E.S.),

Pinelands Institute for Natural & Environmental Studies (P.I.N.E.S.), at Whitesbog Village in Browns Mills is a program of Rowan College which provides hands-on science and social studies field trips for school groups and adults. Volunteers needed weekdays to assist students with nature, science & history programs as well as clerical and office work.
