Urban Airshed Reforestation Program (UARP)

Urban Airshed Reforestation Program (UARP) was started by The NJ Tree Foundation in Camden, NJ in 2002. The mission of the UARP is to improve air and water quality in the city of Camden while empowering residents to create positive changes in their own communities. Over the past eight years, we have hand-planted thousands of trees with Camden residents, schools, churches, and non-profits. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome.  Wear sturdy shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty!

US Coast Guard Auxiliary

US Coast Guard Auxiliary, the civilian arm of the US Coast Guard, seeks volunteers (17+) to assist in boating safety programs.  Volunteers do not require special skills, but must be boating-oriented.  Special training available.  Call PhilipWalmasley  - 856-728-8345 to locate the flotilla near you.  Website: www.cgaux.org/

Voorhees Pediatric Facility

Voorhees Pediatric Facility seeks volunteers 14 years and older to interact hands on with children in the Medical Daycare Center or Therapeutic Recreation Department playing games, reading stories and socializing with residents.  We also seek assistance providing clerical support.  Volunteer opportunities are available 7 days a week; volunteers must be able to commit a minimum of  2 hours a week for a minimum of 3 months!

Wharton State Forest

Wharton State Forest - New Jersey's largest state forest offers volunteer opportunities for any interest.  Pick your hours, days, and interest.  Historic interpretation, gardening, research, trail maintenance, etc.  The choices are endless.  We need assistance with special events, Batsto Historic village, and many other things.  Volunteers of all ages can be accommodated, if accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Service projects, internships, school projects, and scout projects are also accommodated.  For more information please call our office at Batsto Village (609) 561-0

Whitesbog Preservation Trust

Whitesbog Preservation Trust of Historic Whitesbog Village in Brendan T. Byrne State Forest sponsors seasonal special events and educational programs to introduce the general public to the history of the berry industry and vanishing culture of the New Jersey Pine Barrens.  Volunteers (juniors, teens, and adults) are needed for many interesting assignments including seasonal tours, fund raising, and other project work.  Call 609-893-4646 for information.

Willingboro Emergency Squad

Willingboro Emergency Squad is seeking volunteers, age 18 years and over, to maintain our tradition of serving Willingboro Township and surrounding communities.  We provide free, diverse, medical and rescue training, tuition assistance, networking opportunities with professionals such as police departments, fire departments, health care professionals and more.  We promise unique life experiences that few other fields can offer.     Newborns in Need - Serving all God’s Children - a 501(c)3 nonprofit charity. Provides: provides essential baby items for the economically disadvantaged. We provide customized clothing and items for premature babies. WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP? Donate baby items.     Acacia Hospice is looking for caring volunteers to provide companionship to our patients and respite for their loved ones. Also, looking for veterans who would like to visit with fellow veterans to offer support and honor their service. Acacia Hospice is available to all persons residing in the Burlington County area.
