  • Burlington Center Mall Ministry

    Burlington Center Mall Ministry cares for emotional and spiritual needs of individuals—listening, offering prayer support and referral to area resources.  In February, May and November, gift wrappers are needed.  We are looking for volunteers (ages 16+) to work on flyers, window displays and our newsletter, do office work, plan special seasonal events and serve on Board committees.  Training is provided.  Call 609 239-9300 for information.  Carol Pitts, Director mallministry@gmail.com  www.mallministry.org

  • CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates - Burlington and Mercer Counties

  • New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault

    New Jersey Coalition Against Sexual Assault  (NJCASA) is the state-wide coalition of sexual violence programs. Our mission is to promote the compassionate and just treatment of survivors, their loved ones and significant others, foster collaborative relationships between community systems, and affect attitudinal and behavioral changes in society as we work toward the elimination of sexual violence against all people. We are a not-for profit, 501(c)(3) organization. NJCASA is in need of a Resource Center and Website Volunteer a few hours each week to help organize and maintain our Resource Center, and update our website regularly. General duties: • Organize NJCASA’s Resource Center materials • Develop and maintain a working database that can store all of the materials on our website • Track and keep up-to-date records of materials checked-out and returned on a monthly basis • Read through materials and write brief summaries to be used in NJCASA newsletters and website • Input updated information on the NJCASA website as needed Preferred Qualifications: • Excellent organizational skills • Interest in developing and maintaining organizational systems • Experience with databases and Dreamweaver • Ability to work well independently • A librarian background a plus, but not necessary Other volunteer details: • Flexible schedules are available • Unfortunately, we are not accessible by public transportation. Volunteers must be able to provide their own transportation.   • Visiting Nurse and Hospice Services VNHS

    Visiting Nurse and Hospice Services VNHS: Ages: 18 and over. No previous experience necessary. Orientation and training will be provided to interested volunteers. Provide needed support and companionship as a friend to patients and/or their families.· Contact patient/family by phone before visits.· Maintain telephone contact with patient and family when unable to keep established visit schedule,  assist patient with tasks such as: Light meal preparation and mealtime assistance, Shopping and related errands, assistance with letter writing, reading, or pursuing hobbies/ interests ie: sports, politics, occupations; listen and allow patient to review memories and love of family and friends; watch TV, play cards and board game; look at old scrapbooks; walk with patient if patient is up to it; sit at patient’s bedside and be a needed presence.   • New Lisbon Developmental Center

    New Lisbon Developmental Center is in need of Group Sponsors to provide Cottage parties and special projects to benefit developmentally disabled adults in our residential treatment center.  Individual volunteers are also needed to assist with recreational activities, perform light repair of items donated to our Thrift Shop, and assist with bike repair.   • Our Lady of Lourdes Foster Grandparent Program
