The Fatherhood Connection Inc.

The Fatherhood Connection, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) faith-based, non-profit organization of men and women who support the institution of fatherhood.  We are committed in our efforts to re-establish fatherhood in the families of our community. Our aim is to improve the well-being of children by getting fathers to financially support and actively participate in raising their children.  We teach and discuss, mentor and motivate men to become responsible fathers.  We do this by offering parenting classes (we also have a teen parenting course for young dads), Workshops, Co-parenting Support Group, Supervised Visitation program, and we also have several events throughout the year that are designed to give fathers an opportunity to spend time with their children. The program currently in need of volunteers is the Supervised Visitation program.  This program is run by Mount Holly Superior Court, at the court building.  The Fatherhood Connection Inc. in collaboration with the court runs the same program at the Kennedy Center in Willingboro. Supervised Visitation is a weekly program and refers to contact between a non-custodial parent and one or more children in the presence of a third person responsible for observing and seeking to ensure the safety of those involved.  Volunteers are needed to be observers.  The duties of the observers are to watch the interaction, listen to the conversation between parent and child, and make note of their observation.  The visits are for one hour weekly and training will be provided.  Volunteers may apply online at www.fathersandchildren.org/volunteer.html or call (609) 877-1076 and say I'd like to be a volunteer.  Thank you for your support in helping us help our community.  Tashon@FathersandChildren
