The Fatherhood Connection

The Fatherhood Connection Inc. is a 501(c)(3) faith-based, nonprofit organization of men and women who recognize the value of fatherhood.  Our aim is to improve the well-being of children by getting fathers to financially support and actively participate in raising their children.  Our services are for parents with CP&P and court-involved issues.  We provide Supervised Visitation, Guard BIP (Batterer Intervention Program), parenting classes, Parent Place (a Parenting Support group), and we have several events throughout the year that are designed to give fathers an opportunity to spend time with their children.

Volunteers are needed for the Supervised Visitation program, and the Parent Place support group.  Supervised Visitation is a weekly program and refers to contact between a non-custodial parent and one or more children in the presence of a third person responsible for observing and seeking to ensure the safety of those involved.  Volunteers are needed as monitors.  The duties of the monitors are to watch the interaction, listen to the conversation between parent and child, and make note of their observation.  The visits are for one hour weekly and training will be provided.

The Parent Place support group is new, (free and open to the public) and is in need of a group facilitator and co-facilitator.  Parent Place is a support group where parents meet twice a month to help each other with family and life issues.  Parent Place is not group therapy.  It is positive guided discussions led by family advocates and parents helping parents work through difficulties.  Human services or social work experience would be helpful, but not necessary.  However, a positive attitude and compassion for the human experience is a must have.

The building location for services is the Kennedy Center, 429 JFK Way, Willingboro, NJ 08046.  Volunteers may apply online at l or call (609) 877-1638 and say I'd like to be a volunteer.  Thank you for helping us help our families.
